In lieu of the Hurricane that swept through the Blue Ridge Mountains — blacking out the grid for days and making unprecedented changes to the landscape both inside and outside the home, I dedicate this, to all of us who have known the quiet grace of support and the immeasurable fortune of living through it. Because to this day, I will never forget the immediate impact of the storm’s aftermath, nor the way people rose to meet it—coming together as rapid as the waters that flowed.

“My Cup Runneth Over” is a testament to the depth of the human reservoir. To the strength found in caretaking and considering one another, even when we are feeling completely emptied. 

May this serve as a reminder.
